AI providers power the intelligence behind your avatars. All model configuration is managed in the dashboard – no code changes required.

Managed Models (included)

Avatarium hosts these models on your behalf. Select one in Dashboard → Avatar Settings → Brain.

Standard models (all plans):

• Claude Haiku (claude-haiku-4-5-20251001) – fast, cost-efficient

Premium models (Plus/Premium/Elite plans):

• Claude Sonnet (claude-sonnet-4-6) – more capable, nuanced responses

Bring Your Own Key (BYOK)

All plans support BYOK – use your own API keys from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or Groq. Your tokens are billed directly by the provider.

External Brain

Connect your avatar to any OpenAI-compatible endpoint – your own fine-tuned model, OpenRouter, or a self-hosted instance.
